Inspired by Gaston Bachelard’s reflections on the protective retreat of corners, the work does not seek enclosure, but rather quiet and peace within expansive atmospheres.

Der Sockel besteht aus Travertin —
einem stillen Zeugen von Jahrtausenden.
The base is crafted from travertine — a silent witness to thousands of years.
Darüber erheben sich Inseln aus geölter Eiche,
getragen von Metall.
Above it, islands of oiled oak rise,
supported by a structural metal framework.
Auf der oberen der beiden Inseln liegt die Ruhefläche,
weich gepolstert in Alcantara.
On the upper of the two islands lies the resting surface, softly cushioned in Alcantara.
